Zagat called Sozai Restaurant and Sake Lounge a “Noteworthy Newcomer” in its 2008 guide.
San Francisco’s newest izakay serves small plates (traditional yakitori and sashimi as well as fusion dishes) to Inner Sunset diners who hunger for options behind sushi from the Land of the Rising Sun; its sake selection was developed by local savant Beau Timken, owner of True Sake.
