Sozai & Mari’s Catering featured at SF Small Business Week!
Both Sozai Restaurant and Sake Lounge and its parent company, Mari’s Catering, Inc., were featured participants at this year’s SF Small Business Week festivities. On Monday, while Chefs Kevin and Kaz doled out Spicy Tuna handrolls in the North Light Court of City Hall to a packed crowd of politicos and staff, Executive Chef Mari Takahashi was serving assorted nigiri sushi to Mayor Gavin Newsom, Supervisor Jake McGoldrick, and other city officials at a separate function. The week was rounded out by Restaurant Bootcamp, a day-long conference for restauranteurs and the hospitality industry sponsored by Wells Fargo and produced by Five Star Consultants, a hospitality consultancy affiliated with the Small Business bureau. All our Chefs engaged with the crowd, providing ceviche and California Handrolls from behind a sushi bar booth complete with a fish case.
